Buying AP2V1 rims
I'm going to be buying a set of AP2V1 rims soon. However I have no idea on what to go with as far as tires go.
Does anyone have any suggestions? What is the highest quality tire?
(I need all seasons by the way, I live in Kentucky)

Your question ---> "What is the highest quality tire?" can be answered with 5 million dofferent tires depending on what you are looking for. Do you need to be able to drive in snow? Cost a factor?

Ecsta ASX A+ tire on all accounts. I know people that run the tire anywhere from a mazda 626, mini cooper s, to z28's and corvettes. thats the tire that i'll be running 225/47-17 front, 255/40-17 rear. DO IT DO IT DO IT. you'll be happy

Kuhmo???? Really??? That is what you guys are recommending as the best tire period?!?!?!?!
Have any of the Kuhmo recommenders ever driven a car with Michelins or Bridgestones or Continentals??? There IS a reason they cost more you know.
The phrase, "you get what you pay for" isnt universal, but it is almost always the case in three scenarios:
1) garden hoses
2) bed sheets
3) high performance street tires

Not sure if they come in AP2 sizes, but the Bridgestone Potenza RE960 gets very good ratings on Tire Rack. I have them on my 2000 GTI VR6 and have been very impressed. A fairly-recent article in Road & Track said dedicated summer performance tires slightly outperform the RE960 in the dry, but summer tires can't be used in sub-40
