I have a tough decision on my hands and hope to get some feedback, because I personally have experience with neither tire. I want the best one. What I am hearing is the S-03 is VERY slightly better, but the T1-S is VERY slightly more durable. I do not really care about the wet, I drive my Civic in snow and rain, I just want the best summer performance tire out of the two. Traction and steering response are the most important factors for me, followed by noise and wear.
Thanks,
Del

Are you running the OE wheels on the car? If you are, the best handling tire is the S02 that came on the car. If not I can tell you the S03 is the best all around aftermarket tire for wet and dry we have tested. The other tires I like are the Goodyear GSD3 and the new Pilot Sport PS2.

If I can help let me know.
Thank you

The stock wheel/S-02 combo only goes on the car when put into storage. My last set of wheels were 18" and I used the Nitto NT555 tires. Good tire but I do not put them in the same class as S-03 / T1-s. S-02's would be nice but not available in the 225/40-18, 255/35-18 size combo I need. Looking at Tire Rack's testing I see the S-03 to be the best you have, but I would like a comparison to the T1-S as well, if anyone has any input.
I do thank you Jim for your input

Toyo T1-S tires are also lighter than the s-03's in same size.

if you want summer performance there is no better than the s02.

s03 you give up dry weather traction for better wet weather traction.

toyo proxes are an entry level competitor that imo should not be even compared to the likes of the s0 series tires.

Geeez, it would have been nice if the research was done BEFORE blasting the T1-S . I understand the S02's are the top of the heap dry traction, but no
225/40-18, 255/35-18 set is available. So I am after the best thing in that size set up.
I too have done research, looking for real world EXPERIENCE.
