Default Bridgestone RE760

I have a set of Bridgestone RE750's on my car, but the rears need to be replaced.
From what I am reading, the RE760 is replacing this tire. The problem is that I can't find a pair anywhere, including the Tire Rack site.

Has anyone found either of these tires?
Thanks
Dave

I just heard back from Jim at Tire Rack and he said:

"The only tire available in the 245/45R16 is the Fuzion ZRI."

So,,, with all of the S2000's with 16" rears running around, what are you guys doing for tires? How come this has become an issue all of the sudden? I didn't have any problems finding tires the last time I was shopping.

You could always just go with the OEM size of 225/50/16. If you get a good enough tire (Star Specs), it'll have plenty of grip, regardless of the smaller width.

I have a set that has maybe 2000 miles on them I'm selling. 205/55 and 225/50. There aren't really any tires that come in a 245/45/16. The 225/50 is very close and the 760 has a 9.2" section width.

That is what I'm finding confusing. I have had my car for 10 1/2 years, and I've bought 3 sets of tires, and this is the first time that I am finding it difficult to find any.
The "sticky" talks about the 245/45/16 being the correct tire size, but now all the sudden they don't make them?

Is everyone with stock rims going back to the 225/50/16?

Pretty much. There aren't really any other options. The 225 isn't going to be noticeable IMO. I ran the RE760 and never felt the rear needed more grip. If anything, the front would push a little on the 205s.

Okie Doke,,, and thanks for your input. I don't have a problem going to the "stock" size. I just felt like I was hitting a wall and didn't understand why.

I don't push it that hard so I'm sure that it will be just fine.
