Bridgestone RE070 255-40-17 in Europe....?
Does anyone know if it is possible to find Bridgestone RE070 255-40-17 in Europe ?
I asked Tire Rack for a quotation and they came back with a shipping cost of about 100$ per tire...
This is really bad for me, because taxes here are a percentage of the tires cost including the shipping cost !!!!!!!!! (so I will pay taxes for shipping also!!)
The shipping is really fast..
I am going to receive the items I am about to order in 5 days..
The fact is that I am not in such a great hurry, but I do need these tires .
I don't mind even if it takes a month for shipping.
And I think there are some people who would like the idea of having RE070s sent in europe in a more affordable way.
After I asked Tire Rack if it would be possible to get them shipped in an other, not so "superfast", way , in order to reduce the shipping cost, I got no answear....
This is something that lots of people in europe would be interested in..

If you have any friends in the US military with an APO, they could have the tires shipped to them. Tires shipped to me in germany to my APO cost the same as shipping to New York.

no friends in the US military, but thanks for the tip anyway...!
on the other hand what I am trying, is to find a new way for bringing this kind of tires in Europe, so more and more people could order them..
I don't think finding an other slower shipping way would be that difficult..would it?
And it's not only the RE070s...there are DIREZZAs..RE-11s..AZENIS.. and other great tires that are not imported in Europe.
If only the shipping cost was just a bit lower..

Jim (of Tirerack), you've obviously got a market here in Europe, with a specific request. How hard could it be to find out the cost of overland shipping, and offer it as an option? You'd sell a lot more tires.

FPO gets it the rest of the way for free.
