Bridgestone RE-01R

Bridgestone RE-01R
I need new tires, and I was thinking of going with the RE050A pole positions, but the RE-01R's seem pretty decent....how do these 2 tires compare? I need good traction in dry and wet conditions, and I autocross about once every month or 2.

They just turned 1G in our skid pad testing. One of our guys here ran them at Road America in the rain and he was quicker than other guys running racing wet tires.
It would be a better performance tire. If I can help let me know.

It looks like they're cheaper than the RE050A poles as well...from a performance perspective, which tire would you choose...the RE-01R or the RE050A pole position? Either way one of these 2 are going to be my next set of tires. I only need to replace my rear tires at this time. The front's are only about 1/4 worn, but my rear Falken's won't hook, so I've burned them up.

I picked up the RE-01R's in OEM AP1 sizes. I did one track event at gingerman, and they're amazing. I also have driven in downpours on the highway twice now and the stability and confidence is up or past the Toyo T1S (I've always thought this was the best in the rain). These tires have the same treadwear as the RE-050 and so far (2K miles) have been showing similar wear (I even drove at Gingerman Raceway with these and they barely showed any wear from the day) as my last set of RE-050.
Now, I just gotta find out if they plan on putting out the 255/40/17 size for my CE28's coming next month.
BTW, Amuse uses Advan A-048 tires and Bridgestone RE-01R tires on their cars, so they must be good tires.
