Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R

Love the RE-01Rs. But the best street tire hands down is the Advan Neova AD07, if money is no object. The new Z1 SS is probably the best value though.
I'll probably give the SSs a shot and see how they live up to the hype.

interesting little comparo video.
i was able to get 12k on my re01r rears before a nail got into the sidewall. they looked like they would have lasted me a few more thousand miles.
the dunlops are a nice tire, especially for the price.

I agree... excellent street tire if not the best. Great on the track, but it goes after about 5 or 6 hot laps in the low/med. speed turns as any street tire will do.
128mph on the bank at the Autoclub Speedway and the car was on rails even on the last few laps of the session. Though the front shoulders show significant wear after just 4 sessions. I'd give thiem another 3 trackdays max and I bet they'll be gone.

i'm about to put rears on & i'm going back with the re050s. i have been very pleased with them.
S is my daily driver and i think the 050 is the best year round tire with all factors figured in....

Ive had mine for 9000 miles with 3 track days and they are just about done. Great street tire. I agree with Ape-X on them lasting 5-6 laps. If price is no option they are great.

I had them on my M3. They SUCK in the rain. Aquaplanning heaven.
But great tires at the track. Well, OK tires at the track. I rather use track tires. Their main advantage, is that they are grippy as soon as you pull out of the pits. No warm up lap required. And they last longer than track tires. Running proper tire pressures, they NEVER get "greasy" 36-38 psi HOT.
But as a street tire, I didn't like them. Grippy, yes. In the dry only. And with warm weather only.
