biggest diametre size tire we can fit in the rear of our s2ks, 26 inch ?
Hey guys just a quick one, what's the biggest possible tire we can fit in the back of our s2k's. Although I'm talking diameter size..
I've currently got a 18x12 in the rear with a 285 30( I know this is stretched) but the car sits too low, I'm after a taller tire, I've heard of people running 26 inch tires in the rear ?
I was thinking either a 275 40, although I wouldn't mind a 305 35.
What are people's thoughts ?

In terns of diameter plenty of people run a 26 inch diameter tire. I run a 275/40/17 which is a 25.7 inch diameter tire. Lots of drag guys run a 255/50/16 which is a 26 inch tire.
26 inch tire will fit in the wheel well no problem.
In terms of width you can fit 295's on the stock body with the right offset rims. For you I would run a 295/30/18 if your on the stock body. This is the same oem 25 inch diameter. But your ok with getting some over fenders I would go with a 315/30/18.
Personally I hate the 285/30/18 size. There is not enough sidewall and the diameter is to small at only 24.7. Plus it's way to narrow for a 12 inch rim.

by you saying 26inch tire, have they been exactly a 26 inch ? because ive been looking at getting a 305 35 18 and they are slightly bigger, like a 26.4 or so ?
as you can see i just want the overall height of the car to be raised as the 285 30 was a shocking choice to start off with ,

Even the 295/30R18 is stretched on the 18X12 wheels. I would be amazed if you still have stock fenders on the car with the 12" wide wheels. You really need up around a 315/30R18 or 335/30R18 to fit the wheels.
