I've already got 3,000 miles on my KDs and 4 track events and you almost can't see the wear.

So Svann I would have to guess you had the world's worst alignment to wear yours out so quickly

When I was running KD's my alignment was pretty tame actually. The fronts were almost like new but the rears wore evenly and quickly. Were you running the stock sizes or +1? At the time I needed to replace the rears they were backordered from the mfg so availability was the biggest problem. The funny thing is I was getting much better grip and lower run times from my OEM S02's mounted to stocks than the KD's on 17". The fact I was running 225's on the front did introduce some tail happiness to the equation that helped accelerate the wear on the rears. An alignment change from stock may have helped to restore the "push" I lost from the setup.
I might try the KD again on my stock wheels, they were not available when I bought my 17" set. The MX is more attractive from a cost standpoint however. My current alignment IS aggressive and I know the wear will be increased.

my next choice might be pilot sports.

Don't know if I did the quote thing right....if not, my apologies

I'd steer clear of the pilot sports. I've gone thru 4 tires (4 different cars) where I was blessed with a sidewall bubble, and everytime I complain to Mich...they do nothing...I have a friend in the business who sells the brand and he received the same treatment...he has less than 10k on them too. Needless to say the bubble tire is on display at his store

Always been happy with Dunlop...

Well that's my 2 cents at least
