Default best tire for track days and occasional street use

so i just decided what wheels i wanted and orders them. now i have to decide what tires to get im pretty set on 225 fronts but id like no less than a 255 rear hopefuly 265. its my weekend car so it dosent get daily driven just a few times a month to work mainly weeknd and ill be doing track days with it. now im wondering what tire is best for me ive been looking into the star specs. and see that everyone loves them here but i also read good things about the falken rt615s and have falkens now and am happy with them. but is that to tame for track use? or do i go with something like a nt01 or nt05 ? anything would be helpful in making this decision. thanks in advance.

All of those along with the Kumho XS would be great for what you are looking for.
If I can help with the tires let me know.

I personally run the AD08 Neovas. From playing with Star Specs, RS3's and the RT-615's, the Neovas are in a league of their own.

Their 255/40R17 is also really wide compared to any other 255/40R17's I've ran before as well.

i love my star spec. the xs are great in the dry but in the rain you got to be carful. they were really grippy. the star spec on the other hand are really great. they are currently on the s. i had the rs-2 and they were so so, eh on the dry grip, but pretty good in the rain. i had g-force kdw2 i think that was the name(the one with weird patterns) was a pretty hard tire, 300 thread wear. they seem to wear alot in the center, more than normal. they were great in the rain but not worth it. they lasted forever. i had the khumos mx, they are canceled i believed. so no mentioning here. and then the RE050 they were pretty good tires, good dry grip and not so good wet grip though.

for the money wise, i would go with star specs. but if money is not an issue. my vote would be the RE-11

It would be hard to be upset with any of the extreme performance tires. I also like the RE-11 the best in the tire test that we did here. For the best bang for the buck the Dunlop would be a good choice.
If I can help let me know.

The op said track first-street second. Everyone posted the opposite. Any R tire with tread is good until the grooves are gone, think Toyo r1.
