Best tire for my situation?
OK, I've browsed through a couple hundred of threads on this forum but I still can't decide on a tire.
My (completely stock) MY03 S2000 still has the original tires at ~18k miles (but the backs are way bald and should have been replaced at least 2k ago). The fronts still have tread but not that much so I'm going to replace all 4 tires.
It's my daily driver; I don't push it that often (hence the ~16k good miles on the rears I guess) but when I do I push it reasonably hard. I really like the responsiveness and handling of the S02's (well, I did, before the rears went bald).
I live in a warm climate (Austin TX) and can usually borrow my wife's car when it rains, so I'm not concerned with wet weather performance.
I've been happy with the S02's but am suffering from sticker shock. Even the tread life doesn't bother me too much since I don't put that many miles on the car. So if I could get, say, 90-95% of the S02's performance at 70% of the price, I'd do it.
Is there a tire that fits the bill? Or should I bite the bullet and get another set of S02's?
Second question - I'm planning on ordering them from tirerack.com, but I've never done that before - anyone have a recommendation for where to get them put on in N. Austin?
thanks!

Hankook rs-2 seems to be the ticket for you. They are easily 90% of the performance and about 50% of the cost of the S02's. You can get them shipped free from Discount right now too. The only other option I would consider price wise is the Sumitomo's from Tirerack. Good luck!!
