If you are looking for the longest tread life I would search for the all season tires. On average they are going to get you at least 30percent longer tread life.
If I can help let me know.

Regarding alignment, you can run very aggressive camber without undue uneven tire wear (I run 1.3F/2.3R on the S, ~2.5 all around on the Z, tread wears evenly on both). It's toe that really increases wear, so if you want to maximize tire life, have the toe set at the minimum end of the alignment settings. The stock toe settings aren't really for "performance", but more to promote a bit of rear stability. I.e., middle of the spec range will give you more rear toe than is optimal for performance OR tire life, both will improve with less. BUT, the car will be a bit more oversteer-prone, which for those without experience might be a problem...

Long/short, if you have some autoX or track experience and physically (not just intellectually) *know* how to respond when the rear tires run out of grip, minimize rear toe. Otherwise, you might keep it in the middle of the range and just live with slightly shorter life. For camber, generally more is better (within the stock adjustment range anyway) and doesn't have much of a treadwear downside.

Fwiw, I have put over 25,000 mi. on a set of RE760's in stock AP1 size and in the last month the rears have reached the wear bars and subsequently are almost bald. I have done 2 full track days with alignment set at -2.2 in the rear and DD it on the UK spec set up. I also drove from St. Louis to KC to NE and back 3 times. I ave no idea how this is possible but the guys at Fireston where I bought them recorded the mileage when they where installed and everytime I came in for an alignment (I highly recomend the lifetime alignment option for S2000 owners). They seemed to think it was some kind of record when I was in last month for an alignment.

i run the falken fk452's as well. i average about 12k out of the rears. if i recall correctly its a 300 treadware. i personally dont think 12k miles out of the rears is what you are looking for. a buddy of mine has the general and they seem to be lasting long but i dont know the exact mileage on them.
