Default Best combo for handling!

Any ideas on the best handling tire and wheel setup for a UK spec car?

18"
17"

I'm very curious tbh!

"Best handling" is going to depend entirely on how YOU want it to handle.

The diameter of the wheel isn't going to affect much beyond weight (larger will probably be heavier) and sidewall flex (which affects things like ride quality and turn in). These things can be accomodated for, but also need to be taken into consideration.

What's probably going to affect handling the most is your tire choice. Of course things like tire size, usefull contact area, sidewall stiffness, and compound need to be addressed. In the short run, if you're REALLY interested in better handling (as opposed to appearance) you'd probably be better off spending your money on a good set of tires, rather than wheels.

Sorry I didn't really answer your question, but it was far too vague for anyone to easily and acurately respond. Oh, and since you've only been here for 24 days, you'd be wise to learn the SEARCH feature, and start reading.

Some more details:
Front 225/45/17
Rear 255/40/17

Depending on who you talk to, top street tires available in those sizes are:
Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec
Bridgestone RE-01R
Falken Azenis RT-615
Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07

Got Falkens on my new wheels pretty good without traction control up until 60mph - 70mph. 215 front and 245 back... just out of interest what PSI would people go with for this setup on 18" wheels?

I have the CE28Ns and Advan Neova AD07's. Perfect setup for street. Very good for track. (Perfect for track would be R comps).
