Default Bald Rear tires

My first post!!! 2004 AP2 . I put on Falken 245/40r17 40,000 miles tires on at Michaels Tires in March.

After 6,000 the tires are bald!!!I dont do burnouts, just everyday driving. I took the car to the store yesterday and the first thing he said was that I did not rotate them. After I explained that even if I had rotated them @ 5K miles they still would have been bald he put it on the rack.

He then said that because the car had been modified that there was no warranty on the cars.
Looks like the PO had installed aftermarket struts on the rear. I dont know what brand but the springs are green.

Does this sound like it's right???
If I replaced the struts from something like Autozone would that fall under "modified"?
I just felt like he was looking for any excuse to blame me or the car

Thanks

what are your alignment specs? How is the wear show? Sounds like a lot of toe.

What do you mean you rotated them? Are they non-directional tires? Just rotated the rears you mean?

Don't replace the struts with something from Autozone...that's just wrong

He did say it had a lot of Toe in.......I did not rotate the tires. The salesperson at first told me they were worn because I did not rotate the tires. Don't worry...I have no intention of changing the struts or anything from Autozone, it was just an example of what "modified" could mean.
The tires were completely gone!!! Bald....

Toe is your issue. Have it set to minimum spec and rear tire life will benefit hugely.

Quick search shows that Falken warranty doesn't cover staggered fitments (different front/rear tire sizes).

H. Mileage warranty does not apply to Vehicles with staggered tire fitments.

No matter what you do the rear tires are going to wear quicker than the fronts. Run the least amount of toe in that Honda specs and check camber as well if they are worn unevenly.
