Similar question: I have OEM S-02's on the front with good tread remaining (about 13,000 miles). I need to replace the rear S-02's now and would like to go with S-03's.
I think the improved 'rain driving' of the S-03's on the rear would be more impt than the slight degradation in handling due to mixed fronts/rears. Am I correct
Comments from anyone who has already done this would be appreciated....

As we know in the dry the S02 is better then the S03 in the dry
on the flip side, the S03 is better then the S02 in the rain.
So say you put S03's on the back with S02's in the front.
In the rain, because the S03's have better wet grip in the rear you may encounter
"push"/understeer (front end slides and does not want to turn).
In the dry, because the S02's have better dry grip in the front you may encounter
more oversteer (the back end spins out)
If you are a normal driver that dont drive with any aggressiveness then id say it would be ok. Im more concerned about the spirited drivers out there who like to push the car to the limit on turns and corners. Thats why on a car like the S2k, i think its best that all tires match. thats my $0.02

Not to call anyone out, but at local meets I see mismatched tire brands, no stagger, completely wrong diameters, and those cars are obviously OK to drive. In emergency or aggressive situations, you will be thankful for the proper setup though, so that is what most people here will recommend.
On a side note, I autocrossed a few times with s02 front/s03 rear (bought stock wheels that way) and the car felt the same as S02 all around.

My car is in the shop at this moment (+$10k damage) due to over-ripe S-02's and water on the PA Turnpike. I don't want to replace them and have a repeat performance within the first couple of months....
