Question axis reverbs

Hi everyone! I just bought a yellow 2001 s2000 and looking to upgrade wheels. I like the volks and work wheels, but I don't have deep pockets. I like the axis reverbs, but in order to get them in staggered fitment I have to get 18x8.5(front) and 18x9.5(rear) w/ 225/40-18(front) and 255/35-18(rear). The guys from the wheel place gave me these fitment. does this sound right? will there be any rubbing? any info will be helpful, as I am new to this and I really can't afford to waste any money, since I bought the car of my dreams.

The correct fitment of the wheels in the sizes that you mentioned is VERY DEPENDANT on the offsets that they are available in.

An 8" wheel would be a better width choice for the front if it's available.

The tire sizes that you have listed are correct & will work great...........but would be better served on an 8" front & 9" rear sized wheel...this would allow you to not have to find such aggressive offset.

The fitment issue depends mostly on the offset of the wheel.

To fit correctly with No Rubbing........and No Fender Rolling for the tire sizes that you have listed....Especially if you are planning on lowering your car

Front - 8" wheel.........+51 minimum.........+53 would be best (Better Choice)

Front - 8.5" wheel........+55 minimum.......+58 would be best

Rear - 9" wheel............+62 or so would be best (Better Choice)

Rear - 9.5" wheel..........+65 minimum...........+67 / +68 would be best

The information above assumes:
1. That you want the wheels to fit correctly without having to roll the fenders
2. You are lowered or would like to lower your car without any issues
3. You do not want to run excessive camber to get the wheels to clear the fenders.
