Ubetit, he will not rub unless there is a problem besides the offsets.

I am currently running an 8" front and a 9" rear wheel with a 45mm offset all the way around and I do not rub. I am also lowered a fair amount. The original poster's setup is not at all aggressive. I know for a fact that he will not rub unless he is running a fair amount of POSITIVE camber. -2 negative camber in the rear and -1 up front and he should have no issues unless those 18" tires are a lot taller than 17s.

I would be more than happy to post some photos of my +45 setup.

Go to the main Wheel and tire forum page and type rubbing at the bottom in the search box. The problems all start at about +48 and get worse through +35 needing wider fenders. I see many problems with +45 fronts.

Sure you can do a bunch of modifications and roll around with your wheels looking like this /------\ from -3.5 deg of camber or make your teeth chatter from 12k springs. ... but why would you? I've rubbed a +50 at stock height no way in hell i'd run a +42 in front or small tires like a 235 in the rear.

I am personally only running -1 degree negative camber in the front and -3 in the rear for the track but have not aligned my car since my last event. I will clear with between -2 and -2.5 rear camber. I have not rolled or flared any of my fenders (If you are too low, you risk damaging your fenders if you turn into a driveway improperly. I believe this to be due to caster). I am also only running a 400lb. front spring and 340lb. rear (My KW track coilovers are another story).

I can barely believe that you rubbed at stock height with a +50 offset, that is just insane! I would imagine that under the most extreme cornering you can rub at almost any offset/height. It is amazing the mixed results with various offsets.

yea i know about the weather here.. i actually took off the AEM v2 off and am trying it to sell it..i actually prefer the black over the grey... there is another guy here in tampa that has silverstone with the anthrocite wheels... i am contemplating getting the lip powder coated red... what do you guys think of the this wheel with a red lip
