Thumbs up ATTN: ordering tires from tirerack

Hi all,

First things first, this is not to bash Jim@tirerack(<--he's ) but to bash tirerack and paypal.

Last week on Wednesday, I ordered a set of 255/40's and a set of 225/45's Yoko S Drives for the S since the DBRX is in a month and that I needed new tires for it. I got an email on thursday from paypal saying that the payment to tirerack has been suspended/on hold until I re-verified my account, which I found very odd because I ordered some stuff from modifry and payed my registration for DBRX two days before. So I called paypal up on friday and got it all verified and a hour later tirerack called me saying that they were holding shipment on my tires because they haven't received payment for the tires. I told them that paypal already took my money from my account to pay them and were waiting for tirerack to receive the payment. The sales rep and the supervisor that I've talked to at tirerack said they tried at least twice to receive payment through paypal but no dice.

Today (Monday), same thing happens. Tire Rack told me that they are gonna try a third time to receive the funds from paypal but will contact me tomorrow if they were successful or not. I am so pissed off at both companies because they are not communicating with each other and that my hard earn money is floating out there between the two. The bad thing is that the sales rep told me that there is at least a dozen people that are going through the same issue as I am.

The funny thing is that I got the invoice in the mail, from Jim saying that it's paid and a note on my door from UPS saying they will drop by tomorrow to deliver the tires( I was at work when they tried to deliver the tires)

anyways... All I got to say is that if your gonna order from tirerack, dont use your paypal to pay. Use your credit/debit card instead.

From what I've read in your post, I think that Paypal is to blame only.

Mostly, but tirerack has been asking me for my credit card and I keep telling them no because I've already payed for the tires so why would I pay another $500. Like I said, there is a major lack of communicating between the two companies
