ATTENTION: Anyone with SSR GT1 or GT3's-- IMPORTANT
Well, for some reason, i ended up with the wrong hub centric rings on my front set of SSR's. It seems that somehow there was a mix up and the front wheels were sent with the rear hub centric ring, thus causing it not to sit flush on the brake rotor. This would not really strike me as anything really wrong except for the fact that it is wrong, but when i ordered another set of front rings from tire rack, i again received the incorrect ones.
Please go out and double check your wheels and make sure they are sitting properly. if you have doubt, take them off and look at the ring, it will be damaged if you mounted them and torqued them down. if you take the wheel off, you can read the number on the ring itself. It shoud read 079.5/070 IT SHOULD NOT READ 079.5/064.1/2
If you are still unsure give tire rack a call, they shoudl be able to sort it out for you.

well i am glad atleast i was able to help one person. i am sure that there are more out there, they just dont know about it.
Suzuka, dont bother waiting for jim, just give tire rack a call and explain to them what is going on and that you need the correct ones air mailed to you. The one good thing is that tire rack's service is excellent, so hopefully by monday you can have the correct ones.

Oh, I've already called and talked to Dan. He was pretty nice and helpful. He claimed that they sent out the right ones (according to their records) and suggested me to check and adjust the rings so they can sit flush into the groove of the hubs. I'll have to check again tonight and try that out. Until then...

Listen, i dont care what the records say, they said i got the right ones too, and i obviously didnt. Have you taken your wheel off? did you look at the ring? you would know if its correct or not. The salesman there are exactly that, salesman.
i just got my rings today finally and i noticed that there is no numbers listen on them, so if your have nuimbers, they are wrong

Well, at first I only visually inspected for the gap between the wheel hub and the brake rotor and found there was a gap. So I called Dan for help. Afterwards, I removed the front wheels and found the rings are really wrong. They were all bent and warped. I called Jim on Saturday and the new rings should be here Tuesday. Hope they send the right ones this time.

I just installed my 18 inch SSR-GT-1's today. My tire dealer had trouble putting the front wheels on. They checked the rings and found that the rings were the problem. When they changed the rear ring to the front wheel, (and the front rings to the rear wheel), they were able to install the 4 rims/tires. The technician said this would work. They said that Tirerack may have put the rings on the wrong wheel (ie. front on back and back on fronts). What do you think? Is this OK? I am calling Jim tomorrow to find out more. As far as the ride, I could not feel any noticable problem but have not looked whether the rings are warped/chewed up. Everyone who has seen these rims LOVES them.

I've experienced the same problem but with integrals from tire rack.It seem they have a tough time sending the proper spacers. They do fix it promptly however. The correct spacer is important because I had a subtle but annoying vibration which was corrected by proper spacer fit.
