ASA FR1: needs longer wheel studs?
After getting an amazing deal on a set of used ASA FR1 wheels and Toyo track tires, I've got a few questions about these impressive wheels.
The lug wells are very deep, and not all my 3/4 sockets fit down in them. I used the conical lug nuts that the buyer provided with the wheels, but they don't seem to be biting into many threads before they are torqued properly. I can't tell really, but should I be using longer wheel studs with these wheels?
Also, I noticed the straight conical seat was different from the rounded seat on the stock OEM wheels. Is this the correct seat chape for these wheels?
As an aside, I'm very impressed with the fit of these wheels. 17x8 fr and 17x9 rear on stock ride height, and no issues. I'll have pictures tomorrow.
