Default ASA AR1 question

Hi All,
I am looking at a set of ASA AR1 wheels foor MY05 AP2
I will be staying with OEM size tires and the wheel specs are:
Front 17x7 48mm offset
Rear 17x8 45mm offset
I looked at these on Tire rack website
The issue I get is that I get a warning: that this may be aggressive in the rear and may extend beyond fenders
I called Tire Rack and they are not too sure, first they said don't go with these even though it shows in the available rims for my car and then they said it should be ok

I am really confused! Am I going to have problems?

Any help/thoughts is appreciated

Thanks,

If you stay with the 215/45R17 and 245/40R17 they fit with no issues. If you go with 225/45R17 and 255/40R17 you may need a little negative camber and or a fender lip roll. It all depends on the specific tire and your alignment.
If I can help with the wheels and tires let me know.

Jim,
Thanks for the reply - really appreciated
I have a set of Michelin SS tires on order with those (OEM) specs
Am so glad to get a positive reply, everyone I have talked to is very non commital telling me to buy them and try them even though its a crap shoot they will fit.
It's been real frustrating.
Cheers,
Zach

I would consider these a downgrade from your ap2 wheels. Narrower in the rear and not drastically lighter than oem and the lower offset isn't ideal though since they are narrower you may be ok to not roll fenders. Fronts may be an issue more than the rears.

Just received my tires and wheels
They fit with no issues at all some did say that the offset would be too much etc. and the fit and look turned out to be great
As for the tires, The Michelin SS tires are great made me wish for even more play time in the car. I would highly recommend these tires also am very pleased with Tire Rack, great cutomer service and my wheels were shipped to Canada in a few days

Cheers
