ap2 wheel tire size

Default ap2 wheel tire size

Hi everyone I just got a set of ap2v1 wheels for my 2002 ap1. will i be ok wit a 245-40-17 for the front and a 255-40-17 for the rear? any input will be greatly appreciated...

245 might be too wide for the stock ap2's front.

Yeah I keep thinking the same i am thinkin about 225 or 215/ 45 for the front and think im ok with 255-40-17 for the rear

222 will be good since the oem tire is 215 but measure to 225.

OEM tire section width: 8.3" = 211mm
OEM tire tread width: 6.7" = narrower than most 205s

For street Id go for 215/245 so you get a little bit better gas mileage. 225/255 for tracking.

Just revisiting this thread. Would 225/255 really make a difference in gas mileage? I would imagine you'd get slightly more road noise. Is this correct?

I recently bought my S2000 so I'm still on my first (for me) set of tires. What I buy next is still in limbo.

You are not going to get much different gas mileage either way. Just keep the tires inflated correctly and don't drive crazy and you are going to get better gas milage.
