AP2 tire diam on AP1 wheel
Driving this car has been a pleasure but on long distances it can be punishing and tiresome. I've been thinking of keeping a separate set of wheels with a larger profile tire to soften the ride on long distances. I like the AP1 wheels and quite reasonable to attain, and would like to know if it is possible to mount a similar size in diameter to the AP2 (don't want to recalibrate the speedo). I'm aware of the downside, but this is purely for comfort and long distance driving. (ie. NY to FL or CA).
Thanks for the input in advance.

AP1 stock are 205/55/16 and 225/50/16 , they are approximately the same OD as the 215/45/17 and 245/40/17's on the AP2's. They are interchangeable.

I wouldn't , but you could put 205/60/16 and 245/50/16 on AP1 wheels. I've seen these tires on the rear before. Your car would also have extra ground clearance :-)
Why not look into adjustable shocks from Koni. They should cost about the same as a second set of wheels and tires.
