Default Ap2 stock size wheels and tires. Educate me properly

I've been thru the threads esp. the wheel and tire size sticky (which is awesome by the way). However maybe thru all my searching I missed an important answer to this question!!!

I dont want to roll my fenders and enjoying keeping life simple on my new to me 04 with 22k on the clock. What wheel (brands , types, etc.)and tire setup options (size wise) do I have with NO rubbing issues and keeping virtually the same offset or similar to simply mount and roll on enjoying life?

I'm on the same boat as you. I would stick with stock wheels on the best tires you can afford in the stock sizes.

I agree, just stick with the stock wheels since that is basically the width/offset you are limited to. You could step up to 225/45, 255/40 tires if you want. For a typical 8"/9" aftermarket staggered setup, you would need offsets around +50 or higher. That is for stock height, might need even higher offsets on a lowered car.

I have no intention of lower the car with the roads I drive.

I do like the AP2 OEM wheels and tires, great tires are a necessity of life so saving a few bucks on cheap'os isnt in my cards.

Let's say I wanted to upgrade the looks with a new set of wheels, are there any viable options?

Same as me, been dying to get some new wheels, but all the different offsets, widths, and I can't even settle on a set that I want, too many options ( LM are my first choice)

Volk ce28, enkei pf01, are both options that come to mind. You need to be more specific because you could have custom width and offset wheels made but that is very pricey. If you want a cheaper off the shelf version the enkeis are a great option.

Thanks for the input.
So for the volks which are badass. For the fronts 17 x 7.5 bolt pattern 5 x 114.3 with a 50 mm offset and for the rear 17 x 8.5 same bolt pattern also in 50 mm offset? WOW those are expensive per wheel!!!

More or less extremely few options when going with a factory size. Blows my mind but thats life i guess. If there are any other options please post up.

Virtually u can go with what ever rim u want with the s2000 spec and it will fit without rubbing. Choose a nice wheel u like and buy it in the s2000 spec. It will fit no problem. (Bbk is a problem) For tires u can go 245/45 rears and 225or235/45 front. U can also decrease ur wall height to 40 if u have blown shocks that is causing u to rub. Also if u want to try out track then 40 wall height is better.

Ugh. It's not that easy, there isn't really a "S2000" spec, it's up to the individual to select the best sizes for their application. Some wheels have no fitments that will work. For the sidewall, the main goal is usually to match stock diameter. That can be anything from 30 to 55 depending on wheel diameter and tire width. For a typical 17" setup with either 215/245 or 225/255 stagger, you want 45 front and 40 rear.

OZ Alleggrita has specs you might like, 7" +49 and 8.5" +59.

I'd recommend looking at Advan wheels, they are nice combination of looks, weight, quality, and price. They have some nice wheels available in 8" +54 and 9" +63, should be under $2k for a set.

255 rear? I think that is called rubbing with stock wheels and suspension plus a 17x8 can't really handle a 255. I also think the guy asking the question wants to stay stock spec but cooler wheels and tires. I am talking about getting the exact specs of the s2000 wheel and custom order ur favorite wheel that can come in this spec. Keep the tire sizes oem. Should not be a problem
