Anyone use Muteki or Kyokugen lug nuts?
Are there any benefits to using Muteki or Kyokugen lug nuts?
I've seen a bunch on ebay and I'm tempted to buy a set. I have a set of 17" Volk CE28N and the used car dealer but some crappy lugs on the car before I purchased it.
What is the big difference between open ended and closed ended lug nuts?
And what is the best place to purchase them.
Thanks,
chikai

Unless you're running extended wheel studs, you won't need open-ended lugnuts. I wouldn't recommend Kyokugen lugnuts at all. Heard too many horror stories of them stripping. Not too sure about Muteki lugs. Personally, I run Rays lugs on my wheels.

any lug nuts you guys would recommend?
i'm just asking because I have mis matched lugs and it's really annoying. I'm not even sure if the lug the dealership put on has a conic/tapered end.

:raiseshand: I'm one of the horror stories. The damn lugs were only put on once, and the provided socket rounded on the inside when I tried to remove them. Had to get creative with cutting the socket, since it's deep, to get to the part of the socket further up that had not yet flared out. Pieces of crap. Don't buy Kyokugen lugs.

Yep, garbage. Jahnke had a set on his car. Several of them ended up stripped when we tried to get them off. Get Rays or Mugen. Mugen are slightly cheaper.
