Anyone have S-02s on front with S-02As on the rear?

I was going from memory and didn't even notice any thread. I see that options are very limited in that 245/45 size. Tirerack only shows the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 (for $181/tire) and the Toyo Proxes T1R (which isn't offered in 205/55R16).

Your front tires are 11 years old.

Throw them out, it's not worth the risk.

Buy 4 new tires, 205/225 combo is available with most manufactures.

Yeah, I finally came to that realization last night. At the rate I drive my car, if I got another set of S-02 rears then I would be expecting to get another 10+ years out of my fronts -- no way that is a good idea! That said, they still look to be in really good condition; you would never guess they are so old.

I understand, I was in the same position as you (very little wear front S0-2 sitting in my basement as well). Since you put low mileage on your car, buy the softest tires in your budget and go hit the track once in a while, you're missing out on a good time. This way they will last you only 5 years.

You can probably find a used set of Ap1 Rims with good tires on there, when you store your car, use the old S0-2 tires (who cares if they develop flat spots or rot) and put the good rims indoors (that's if you have seasons like us in Canada).
