Another Question for Jim / Fitment Info
Hey Jim,
I am a new owner of an '05 S2000 and have a question regarding a wheel / tire combo.
I have ordered a set of Volk Racing CE28N's, the fronts are 17" x 7.5" +50 offset, the rears are 17" x 9.0" +63 offset.
These wheels were about the best I found to match the OEM offset.
Since the wheels are 1/2" wider both front and rear, it looked like the best tire size combo would be 225/45 up front and 255/40 in the rear.
The car is not lowered and I was wondering if you think there will be any clearance / rubbing issues with this setup?
If there is a chance they might rub, would I be better off running the stock size tires even though the wheels are 1/2" wider at both front and rear?
The front wheel difference will be 1mm less on the inside and 11mm farther out, the rear will be 4mm less clearance on the inside and 8mm farther out than stock.
I just didn't want to screw up the stock stagger amounts and figured this would be a pretty safe setup.
Any input would be most appreciated,
Thanks,
Bob
