Another help on some 18" Rim/Tire sizing
Hello,
I need your help here guys. I have 18" advan RG2 wheels fitted in my car. I have already rolled my fenders did the rear fender relocation tab and extended a bit my OEM fenders. I also have -2 rear camber. I currently have 245/40/18 toyos R888 fitted in my rear wheels and i still have some minor rubbing issue. I am thinking to fit a set of Federal 595 RS-R 255/35/18 on the rear. Will this make my rubbing issue worst or the lower profile tyre will makes things better even if they are a bit wider?
Here are the links of both tyres specifications

Any help would be greatly appreciated

The tire will be wider, yet shorter. The 255/35/18 is closer to the correct size than a 245/40/18 will be.
To directly address your question, how much this will help depends on where the tire is relative to the fender when you're rubbing. If your tire is already outside the inner fender lip and the rubbing is on the top of the tread, then this tire will improve the situation. But if your tire is on the inside of the fender lip and the rubbing is occurring on the outside of the tirewall, then this tire will make the situation worse. Basically, if you are rubbing due to height, then it will help. But if you are rubbing due to width, it will make it worse.
