Default All season tires on 2005 S2000

I was thinking about getting all-season tires on my S2000. I have another car so I don't need it to drive in snow but I would like to be able to drive ti when the temperatures get below 40 degrees. I drove the stock bridgestones last winter and found them to be not grippy (as expected) when the temps got real low (40-20 degrees). Would an all-season tire be better for lower temperatures than the stock bridgestones?

I was looking at the Advan S.4.'s and the Michelin Pilot sport A/S.

yeah i think a set of all season tires will do better in the cold than a set of performance summer tires, you should be ok in light snow as well

It's a waste in the summer though. Get another set of wheels.

First off the all season tire will work better as the temps go down. You loose about 30@ of the performance tires traction at 45 degrees. So even on a clear day in the winter the summer performance tires are going to loose grip. That is where the all season tires are going to help.
I like both of the tire you mention but the new Bridgestone RE960AS is the best that we have tested.

If you don't want to spend as much- I've had great success with the Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S

Hi Jim

Thanks for the replies I would like order either the Yokohoma Advan S4s or the new Bridgestones that you mentioned. I'm sorry if this sounds dumb but how do I go about ordering from the tire rack? Also how do I get them installed? Do I have them shipped to my apartment or to an installer directly?

Also I have a 2005 S2000 with the stock honda rims and would like to know proper sizing.

Just give me a call to order the tires. We do have installers through out the country to help with the installation.
