Default To all with early wear on OM tires.

Log on NHTSA. com and register your safety complaint about tires that lose their tread in under 10k miles. It is a difficult site to use. You will want to write you narative to state that all four of your tires went bald (or nearly so) in "X" number of miles, creating a safety hazzard of hydroplaning, etc. As you follow the required menue, you will be asked many questions that don't apply. Do the best you can. When dates are requested, put in the date you first discovered your OM tires were badly worn, i.e. lacked 2/32 in tread depth. You will be asked for info that could only apply to one tire (like DOT number). list it for your worst tire, but make it clear in your narative that all your tives are bad.

Not all s2k's have bad OEM tires. This was true of the Ford Explorer as well. But, some did and do. So make youyr complaint, and perhaps we will be heard as well.

Thanks
Richard

The Ford Explorer problem was created by Ford recommending too low of air pressure in their tires. They were over loaded with 500 lbs in the vehicle. You really shouldn't make assumptions without knowing all of the facts. There were as many accidents with Goodyear and Michelin tires but Firestone was the OE tire so there were a lot more Firestone tires on the vehicles.
Even with the tires going down the problem is still the Explorer rolled over and people died. They didn't die because they had a flat.
Tread life is not a defect. Bridgestone built the best handling tire for the car and built what Honda asked for.
