Default ADVAN RS FITMENT

Here is something that I would like to try. I just really want a clearification if this will work or not with the Advan RS's. So itching to buy!

With a 17x8 +45 on a 215/45 tire, I can fit that in the front with a minor roll and keeping the front OEM camber sizing.

With a 17x9 +29 (GTR FACE!! ) on a 255/40 tire, I can fit that in the rear with the rear ASM overfenders with OEM rear camber sizing.

Clearify if I am wrong and let me know of a better set up that will work! Lol. I just don't want to be running too much negative camber on the front or rears. IF anything, I would not mind running a little negative camber in the rear...but -2 in the rear at most! I hate the wearing of the tires with a -1.6 camber in the rears (current sizing). I can only imagine what it would be like with -3 in the rear. Haha.

And I want to drop the car possibly 1.5 inches on Tein S-techs. That will be the lowest I would wanna go cuz of speed bumps around my college campus.

Bad toe kills tires. Do you plan on cutting your rear quarter panels? Since your new wheels will stick out from the stock body whenever the suspension compresses the tires can hit them and cause them to buckle. And the tires can get shredded too.

I forgot to mention that the fronts can be left alone because the tires will be slightly stretched which will offer some clearance.

Oh yes, forgot to mention that. I do plan on cutting the rear quarter panels, which is why I wanna throw on them ASM overfenders.

EDIT: So with the 215/45 in the fronts, there is really no need to roll the fronts?

Have you seen this thread as well? 17x9 +45 is a GTR face. This will save you the trouble of getting rear fender work done. https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/972...y-on-nsxprime/

Damn! Shouldve known of this group buy before hand!

I guess I'll have to wait and see a few S2Ks with those RSIIs. So for the mean time, these RS's would be my current ideal set up...

just to clarify

Advan RS in 17x9 +45 is not GTR face
Advan RZ in 17x9 +45 is GTR face
Advan RS2 in 17x9 +45 is GTR face

if you want GTR face in the rear I would recommend the RZ/RS2 in 9+45

But would the 17x9 +29 RS's work on the rears with 255/40 tire on OEM camber and a 1.5 inch drop WITH the rear quarterpanels cut and ASM rear overfenders installed? I really like the ASM overfender look in the rear. Hahaha.

Don't forget to trim the rear bumper and relocate the bumper bolt several inches back. I'm thinking you probably could get the rear to fit with the specs you're asking. To gain more clearance you should trim the lip of the overfenders as well. Nichigo had a 17x9 +22 in the rear with 255/40 and was running a -2.75 deg of camber I think. I wouldn't get too hung up on camber. As long as your toe is within spec you should be fine. How much driving do you do per year and do you drive aggressively?
