ADR Sokudo Gold in 17-inch
Just took delivery of my 2002 Suzuka Blue and need to get caught up on the S2000 learning curve, but in
the meantime, for those experienced owners, it seems as though non-Tire Rack locales have a wide variety
of wheels available in our bolt pattern, but upon closer inspection, typical offsets are in the 38-45mm
range, which according to my own wheel offset calculator, in a 17-inch 215/45/17 and 245/40/17 puts both
wheel/tires (F/R) about 1-inch outboard. Is this a problem with the car? I don't have enough time with it to
know exactly but I would think 1-inch is pushing things. Perhaps there is someone who has this extreme an
offset that could chime in or whether its a practical change? I would prefer going with Tire Rack, but
their choices for wheels are minimal. The wheel I would like, pictured above, has
a 40mm offset in a 17x7.
On another note, what a car! My patience paid off (I've been hoping for a glass rear window) and found my
Suzuka blue on the showroom floor about a month ago. Paid $31K so I feel I got a very nice deal all things
considered. Still difficult to garage it for another month and a half though.

Anyone? I'm trying like crazy to gather up as much info as I can (search engine, etc) on
offsets but I'm wondering if others are running aftermarket combinations which increased the wheel/tire outboard distance by an inch or more. It would seem to me the edge of the tire would be directly under the wheel well.
Thanks for anyone who takes the time to chime in!

Jonas...not at all. I want the 215/40/17 on the front and the 245/40/17 on the rear. I'm beginning to think
with what information I've gathered from backsearching this forum, that a 1-inch outboard increase is fairly
standard on everyone's aftermarket choices. I guess mud guards would be advisable (if I can find them) because
in this neck of the woods, road crap will be kicked up along the side of the car right quickly with a tire
extending 1-inch outboard.
