About my new s2k tire setup
Hello guys, I am from North Cyprus and two weeks ago I got my 8 years dream car finally. I have some questions about the s2000. I have 2.2 liter f22c engine and widebody kit on it. When I bought the car, tires were 235/35/r19 for front and 265/35/19 for the rear tires. My question is can anybody tell me the pros and cons of this tire setup? tires conditions are good for now I do not want to change them unless you guys tell me the cons of it. Thank you.

I mean 19’s are just costing you that much more for really no benefit. They are at least nice and wide so grip should be good. Pretty sure they are overall taller than the oem diameter which can mess with your speedo. If it were me I’d probably be looking to change to 18’s eventually so I could get the diameter right but still look for similar or even wider tires.

Actually grip is good with 19 ınch rims, my father told me that we should check the speed whether it shows right speed or not because of its huge rims. When I check the price lists of both 235 and 265/35/r19 tires, there are really high and actually not fit to my budget. I am planning to change rims to set smaller one 18 or 17 ınch however it should be looking good with the widebody that I have so that I am little bit confused. Can you suggest me a right tire fitment for 17 and 18 inch that looks good with widebody kit? thank you.

Agree with Mega. A good site for S2k general information and a decent tire/wheel guide:
S2000.club [Your Honda S2000 Resource]
There should be multiple calculators online. I us this one because it is easy and where I get my tires:

Best to you!

Wheel diameter has nothing to do with grip. It effects the things I mentioned like the speedo and the cost of 19 inch tires are higher than 18’s.
I cant make a recommendation without knowing what widebody kit you have. Different kits add different widths allowing you to fit different wheels. You could just look at the width and offset of the 19’s that are on there and look for those specs on 18 inch wheels and they should fit the same.

Manga here is my s2k photos, today I talked to tire shop and they told me that all tires should be changed soon, all tires are looking bad and bad condition, they told me that if you want continental tire, I need to pay 1250 dollar for four tires, they did some discount on total cost, and jinyu brand tires 400 dollar for four. They said that you can use jinyu it is a good tire. But for now, I have limited budget so that I will choose jinyu tires, and they will check wheels as well if there is crack or anything I am going to change it too. When I go 80 kmh on road my steering wheel starts to shake and tire shop told me that it is because of tires, tires are from 2013, I dont not how did ex owner drove with tires...

Yes actually you are right, I know jinyu is a chinese brand and it is not a good tire for s2000 but unfortunately I have no chance to prefer other brands because currently no any local shops offer goodyear, hankook, bridgestone etc just only jinyu and continental. As continental is so expensive I will go with jinyu, I believe it is better than the current tires on the car. I know prices of tires maybe okey for you but when I compare with my national currency, it is a way of expensive unfortunately. I am using Turkish lira where it is way of lower against the dollar. Also, I spent some money on car like changing soft top and I ordered new two ap2 tail lights
