Default A048 tire question

I am looking at getting these tires since they are not making the Ao32r tire anymore. You can only get this tire in a 225 for the rear and not a 245 like everybody says that you are supposed to get. Does anybody know if this is one of those things where it says 225 but is closer to a 245?

Overall width is a bit narrower cuz it's a 225, but the tread width is about the same as other 245s (wider than some even).

Where'd u hear the A032Rs are being discontinued?...I hadn't heard that.

I heard the A032R was being discontinued from tire rack. I went to order them because they had them in a 245 size for the rear and when i called they were out and said Yokohama was discontinuing that tire.

Hmm, their site doesn't show anything about discontinued...just says "special order". I was looking into getting A032Rs in the future...guess I'll have to see if they're still available then.

yea I know the site does not say anything about it but when you call they tell you that they have been discontinued. I wish they weren't because I really wanted to get these tires and they are at a good price to. If you call anybody else they want around 200 per tire. If you find them anywhere close to that let me know. I think I am just going to get the A048 anyway since I have had a hard time finding the A032R.

Good luck w/ the A048s. I got an ok price from a local America's tire, but it was still higher than TireRack's price. I was hoping to run these when my street tires wear out since I've been told the MH-compound last a decent amount. I was planning to drive these to and from the track while still getting a good amount of grip and tracklife out of them. I've still got a lot of tread on my street tires tho, so it'll be a while before I change.
