Maybe ask on the competition forum here.

245/40 seems to be the preferred size for B & A/Street fronts on 7" wide rims. Some people in A/Street even have 255/40s in front (A/Street are the CR models with stiffer springs and anti-roll bars). They look a little pinched, but not overly obvious. There is an open debate which is faster, nearly all the fast cars are on 245/40s, but not that many did back to back tests. With possibly none of the fast cars running 225 fronts, we may never know.

What planet are you on... Lol jk

I'm running 225s right now up front but everyone who is looking for more front end grip for Autocrossers run 245s. Most autocrosses running this have no problems daily driving them. People don't seem to even have cantilevering problems where there is a delay in response.

Yeah I ask myself that every day. Well all i can say is im on the planet where I’ve learned where the thresholds are for maximum performance and where the diminishing line falls from there. Naturally, if you’re in a class limited competition, you learn to work with what performs the best overall within those restrictions. I assure you, a 245 performs a lot better on a 9-9.5" wide rim then a 7". I road course my car without restrictions, so the world is my playground. You cone dodgers are doing your own thing and I admittedly have no idea what that is

Neither do we sometimes

But yeah, there is what works best and what works "better" when you are limited by class rules. I have seen some pretty crazy sizes mounted up on narrower rims in Bstreet.
