Default 255's on OEM AP2 Front Rims?

AutoX stock class setup states that some guys are running 275's !!! on all four corners. I find this hard to believe. Those are R-comps of course. Is there any problem with running 255's on the front? I realize it may not be optimal performance, but I picked up 8 255 Star Specs and I'd like to use them without having to buy rims I know stock class guys mount 245 R-Comps on front for sure, but I was surprised to see the Stock Class AutoX setup thread state that 275's have been used all the way around. Let me know your thoughts! thx!

255 on a 7 inch wheel? Nope.

I would like 255 all around with 2 more CR wheels up front.

You can mounted and drive but I wouldn't recommended for track use never. Just get two ap2 rear wheels for the front

That would be fine for STR but not if you want to stay in stock class.

The problem with AP2 rear rims on the front is the bore. You have to get it drilled out to accommodate 70mm. I'm just looking to use the tires I have on the rims I have. I know running tires outside the recommended rim width range is being done by stock class autocrossers - but those are r-comps. Does that make it any safer than running outside the rim width range on street tires? (I'm not worried about classing right now. Just competing locally in clubs)

What if i just go to the same guy mounting 275's on the same rim? He should LOVE mounting a 255 after that
