Default 255 too wide for AP1 OEM wheel ?

I wanted to know if a 255 would be too wide on a AP1 wheel ?

I was thinking of trying out the Falken Ziex ZE-512 tires and they have a 255/50/16, i do not know if it'll fit correctly on a AP1 wheel. Or should I just go with the 245/50/16 instead.

thanks

Probably best to stick with the 245. Even the 245 is pushing it on a 7.5" wide wheel. Most 245s recommend a 8" width minimum. Since it's a fairly tall sidewall, we can get away with it.

Both of the sizes in the original post are too tall. Run a search on tire size and you'll quickly see that most of us run 205/55/16 or 225/50 up front, and 225/50 or 245/45 in the rear.

Stay with the 245/45R16 if you want to go with something other than stock.
