Default 255 Square Stock fenders

Good day gentlemen,

I have been away from this forum for a while now but have recently acquired another S2000. My old set up was 265 square on a wide body kit.I was hoping to a achieve a 255 square on a stock body.

The rim size I am looking at is 18 x 8.5 et 52 on KWv3 with a very modest ride height.

I was wondering what would be required for this type of set up if it is indeed possible. Tires are either going to be 255/35/18 or 255/40/18. Also which of the 2 sizes would be better for clearance?

I am assuming the rear would fit no problem? just the fronts that would be an issue?

Thank you,

Chris

Stock fenders? Like 100% absolutely untouched? Do you mind a small amount of neg camber?

I'd fold or cut the fender tabs and maybe massage the fender lip out of the way a bit.

Your wheel sizing isn't agressive...so you should be fine.

I am running 17x10 +50 with 255's square. My fenders are rolled....but not flared. I have miles of room. I've never rubbed on anything even at the track. My car measures like 12.5" from wheel centre to fender arch top. -3 deg camber.

255/35 would be the proper size to go with, not just for better clearance, but because its the factory overall diameter.

^Correct tire size. Youw ill want to keep an eye on the front fenders. If you see tabs missing or other signs of them rubbing the liners you will want to have the fronts rolled.

at that offset you will definitely have to bend the liner tabs, and it may require a roll.

Awesome thanks guys for the input. I wanted to make sure before I put the order in for tires and rims. Also thank you for tire size recommendation. Really appreciate it.

You may want to try a slightly wider wheel with a similar effective offset as well. It'll pull the tire a bit more 'taut' and may gain you a millimeter or two.

btw, its the front only that is in question for fender modification just to clarify. The rear will fit fine.

If the wheel is wider the offset would need to be higher to put it the same distance from the fender.

That's why I said same effective offset.

18x9 +58-59 would have the same fender clearance as 18x8.5 +52.
