I bet it's hankook raising the prices and nothing to do with the retailers

it was said in Jan. here on the forum by Vivid Racing that Hankooks would be going up on Feb 1, i ordered a set on Jan 30, just to lock in the lower price, ....i watched and watched and they never went up, until now, i was starting to think they said that only to fill some orders lol

Yeah, but at least to Raleigh with shipping, DTD is cheaper.

Looks like Hankook decided they were selling them for too little and decided to make a little more profit.

Supply/demand. They're going to charge wherever they can get you.. I can't say I will opt for a cheaper brand/treadwear because of this either. I love my grip, whether it be going to work or heading to a track event.

One more reason to make the switch back to Star Specs. If I had the extra cash now I'd just sell my current set of RS3s and do it.

I made a thread about Star Specs going up also. I wrote them in my notebook along with other mods I was planning on doing plus the price and they have been increasing steadily also.

Discount tire direct offers free shipping. Tirerack does not.

My set of front (225/45/17) R-S3's shipped by tirerack today, so it looks like they got a shipment recently.

This will be my last set of Hankook tires ever. No matter what store/dealer I called, no one could give me an estimated in stock date due to Hankook's business practice of not notifying their dealers of an estimated delivery date. Calling Hankook directly wasn't any help either. I will be using Star Specs after this set of R-S3's is done and won't look back.
