245/40r18 will it fit?
Hello fellow s2ki members
Please help out a noob!
I'm sure there is a page for this somewhere but just wanted some insights and guidance.
I'm not quite grasping this fitments stuff without actually trying to fit them on.
Looking to purchase some rims for my stock 2001 ap1s
I've found some decently priced OZ racing Alleggerita
I was looking for some rpf1's but its been hard to find a decently priced one near Michigan.
Alleggerita set is running 245/40r18 Squared with 55mm offset and 8.5 width Dunlop sports max.
Will it fit? Would I need to roll or cut into my fender?
I was hoping to go with 17in/ staggered setup to not have to worry about fitment, but I cant really find anything near me for decent price.
Thanks!

Tires are too tall.

Tires should be 245/35/18. The front might need a roll. One other thing I’ll mention is going to an 18 means you are just going to be paying more for tires. If you were trying to go wider than 10 inch it makes sense due to tire choices but with 8.5’s don’t make a ton of sense unless you love a wheel and it’s not available in a 17.

This size works bad, have it and now need front fender liners, and new tires in 245 35 18. The 245 40 18 I bought in PSS were a costly error in judgment I made due to bad roads and wanting a little more cushion

Well regarded reproduction AP2V1 pattern wheels are available and will bold right on the car. 17" staggered just like the originals.

Surprising number of folks are completely unaware these are available and are picking aftermarket wheels with bad offsets.
Merely a public service.

Chuck, you post about them in every wheel thread. ‘Bad offset’ is your opinion. If OP is looking at aftermarket wheels, what is there in this thread to make you think they want replicas of the ugly stock wheels? Just bump the replica ap2 wheel thread daily or something.
