Problem is 595RSR-R are not available 245/40/17s
the 225/255 595 RSR-R and really are very good +good $ as said a little heavy.
Do prefer my 225/255 AD08R though.

Yes. And those are available in the 245/40. Ive got them on a spare set of 9" wheels myself.

I have an AP1 with CR shocks and springs. Also an AP2 rear sway bar. I went with the 215/255 combo with Bridgestone S-04s when i changed to 17 AP2 V1 wheels. I went with the 215 because I read that some felt the 225 made turn in less sharp. Having come from 16's I had no comparison.

The steering in the S is a little numb on center. Not being made of money I did not want to make a decision I would regret and be forced to live with until the fronts wore out.

And being a weekend car wearing out the fronts would be a VERY long process.

I am very happy with my choice. On the street I have never approached loss of traction.

Very confidence inspiring.
