Default 245/40/17 fit on a 17x9.5?

I got a spare R888 that's 245/40/17 ... will I be able to fit this into a 17 x 9.5 rim?

it will have some stretch to it..but it would work

The 245/40R17 fits 17X8 to 17X9.5. They will be fine,.

Thanks guys, cause I just bought the set of tires... and changing rims now.
I also got two 255/40R17 Potenze R-11 ... if anyone wants them

What offsets are you running?

i want to know how u can run that tyre and wheel combo with that offset

i just fitted a 245/45 17 to a 17x8.5 +40 rim .. and even with -3 deg camber <1 in lowered at the rear and rolled guards the tyre hits top of the guard.. hits the back bumper where the bumper screws onto the body
