I would stick with the big front bar if you are mainly autocrossing and you have coilovers.

On auto-x on street tires on asphault I think the car will always push when you try and carry too much speed into tight corners. You need to make sure you're braking early enough and or brake into the corner.

I try and get most of the braking done in a straight line, then come off for the most part but keep a bit of pressure on as I turn in. You are just using the brake to keep the nose of the car dipped at the front and weight over the front so the tires grip.

It might take a bit of practice but it works great for me when I get it right.
Cool... it does make sense what you are saying. It will take some practice... that is for sure. I have to admit, it does take a little getting used to using most of the braking during the straight portion leading to a turn. Next time around, I'll try to emphasize that to get more accustomed to it.

Thanks again,
Andre

The problem is that on a small rim as you step up the tire size there are diminishing returns. A 235 on a 8.5 inch rim is much more effective than on a 7" rim. You also lose responsiveness with an oversized tire relative the rim. You may have more luck going 225/245 to balance the car better. Or getting some rear OWM rims bored out to the front and then run 245/255.

I run 235/40 on a 7.5" in rim but am chaning to a 9" rim and running a 245.
