The problem is that on a small rim as you step up the tire size there are diminishing returns. A 235 on a 8.5 inch rim is much more effective than on a 7" rim. You also lose responsiveness with an oversized tire relative the rim. You may have more luck going 225/245 to balance the car better. Or getting some rear OWM rims bored out to the front and then run 245/255.
