235 or 225

235 or 225
I got some RPF1's (8" & 9") I'm getting REO1R's. I'm getting 255's for the rear. but can't make up up my mind for the front.
My options are:
215/45/17-stretched, so this wont work.
225/45/17-will work, but seems too big in diameter.
235/40/17-I'm not sure about, I think it might have the same diameter as 225/45/17.
I've had 225/45/17's in the front before, it was a bigger diameter than the stock rear tires. I hated it, that's really what I'm trying to avoid.
what do you guys think?

Uh, the 225/45-17 is a slightly larger diameter than the stock 215/45 but is the exact same diameter as your rear 255/40-17. I would go with the 225. The 235/40 will be a slightly smaller diameter, even smaller than the stock 215/45. Diameters from TireRack:
215/45-17 24.6"
225/45-17 25.0"
235/40-17 24.4"
255/40-17 25.0"
And the width of the 235 with the RPF1 offset is going to be very close to the front fenders.

225/40.
So you think 235 might be a bit much. To close to the fender.
