You do know the RA-1 is a race tire right? They can be run on the street and are considered by most the best "streetable" R compound so that's cool as long as you're aware. As for sizes the 255 is nearly an 1.5 inches taller than stock so I would not recommend them. The 205/245 combo is much better and will have plenty of grip as well as fill up the wheel well because they are wider than the specs dictate. I run this config at the track as well as many others. Good luck!!

225/245 works for people running AS Solo II WITH a larger front swaybar. If you are running on the street with OEM swaybar you want a 205/245 combo.
I too run the 205/55-16 and 245/45-16 on the track and it is a wonderful set up.

It sounds like the RA1s have pretty good life for the street (I know ppl have raved about their life on the track). Anyone know how the A032R H-compound wear on the street?...would they last fairly long (similar to RA1). They also come in the correct 205/245 setup. Thanks.

right now im running 205 front with 225 backs (s03's not s02s) which should make the car more prone to oversteer, but i drive the car at the limit regularly and If anything i still think the car understeers a little more than it oversteers.

Th fact is, your current setup has less wide of a tire in the rear compared to the OEM setup (OEM S02 225 is really closer to 245 in size). I don't see any good reason to run a narrower tire in the rear.
