Default 225/255 on 7.5/8.5 prodrive rims?

before i get flamed and asked to hit the seach button, just wanna say i been to 4 tyre shops and the advice was spilt equally as to if they will or will not fit my rims.

a bit of a background, im running prodrives GC07s with front 7.5inch offset 44 and rear8.5inch offset 54. the front clears a spoon BBK but barely.Current setup is running on 215/235. 235 rear as there was no stock for 245s.

question is, if im not looking for a slammed look, and prepared to roll my fenders, can these rims fit a 225/255 setup on bridgestone RE55 semi slicks? track performance is the reason I wanna go for wider tires.

Had to ask this question as the 4 tyre shops are equally split.

any help ?

thanks!

I have the exact same offset and width on the GC05 Prodrives. I run 225/45/17 and 255/40/17 Fits perfect no rubbing one inch drop.

^ Agreed

Need to hijack, with Ray Lugs, what is the Torque spec on them? Manual lists 3, M10, M12, M15 IIRC. Which ones would I follow?

So is it confirmed that there's no rubbing with this setup?

Those tire sizes are the stock sizes for the cr I think so your good. Maybe a roll just to be safe.

CR is 215/255 and much less aggressive offset... I'm afraid it will rub with my new GC-07c rims and 225/255 tires...
I guess 215 front is safer, I guess I won't find out until I swap to these GC-07c...

There's a slight rub on hard dips, depending on how low you go. a slight roll will help.
