215 on a 17x9
Okay I have read about how not to do this but I have to snatch a deal of (4) Nexen N3000's (215-45-17 and 245-40-17) staggered fitment for $200. I also want the non-staggered PF01 17x9 +60 and I'm ready to buy a set. Would this be temporarily okay to have the front 17x9 wear a 215 till it wears out then I can upgrade to 245? If this is very dangerous then I might just opt to get the 17x8 +50.
Thanks for the input guys.

I will try but I'm not sure if $50 a piece is a deal. The only way to look at it as a deal is to sell it as set of 4 IMO. They are basically new but not a top of list brand I think.
Is the danger more on the possibility of destroying the rim or is it the possibility of the tire coming off the rim at high speed? I've always wonder how some of the european cars I've seen running on stretched tires. But I'm not just sure the safe threshold.
Thanks again guys.
