Default 205/45/17 tire on OEM AP2v1 front's

How much will this deter performance running a slightly narrower tire on the front??

Thanks!!

Depends on the tire brand. Keep in mind the 215/45/17 RE050s are more like a 205 compared to other makes. What size do you plan to put on the rear? Same brand?

Well, I'm going with the RE-01R's FRONT and BACK

205/45/17 on the fronts, and 245/40/17's on the rears..

I ran 225/255 RE01-Rs on my '05 and had plenty of push, so I would guess you would have a bit more understeer. I think 225/245 would be perfect for the streets with the RE01-Rs, but I know they are sold out everywhere after the recent sale. The setup you plan to run may actually be pretty close to the OEM setup though...

Those are the sizes that I would have gone with if the 215/255 RE-01R sizes weren't available. The 205/245 setup should be very close to RE-050 stagger.

I have 215/245 in RE-01R that will be put on soon. I see that the fronts are a lot wider than the stock 215 RE-050. Per specs on Tirerack, the 205 in RE-01R is also wider than the 215 RE-050. That seems odd?

So will this be a tail happy set-up?
