Default 18x8.5 Biggest Tyre????

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a quick answer. What is the widest tyre i can get on a 18x8.5 rim? At the moment i have 225/40/18 on the rear. Can i go wider?

Thanks Kris

I cant remember who and where i read it on here, but there a few owners running a 265/35 on thier 18" rim. I belive it was a 18x9.5 rim though.

225 is way too skinny for 8.5. Hell, it's even too skinny for a stock 7.5.

Go with 2 fitty five for 8.5.

I agree. a 255 should be perfect with a 18x8.5

Mind you, it does depend a lot on the offset...
