Default 18" XXR 502's on S2000, Misc, Fitment, etc...

Hi,

I am awaiting delivery of my S2000 and am trying to get rims lined up. I want them to look tasteful and not stick out the fenders of have tires stretched on them too much, etc....just nice and almost flush to edge of fenders.

I am looking at the XXR 502's 18 x 7.5 with 42mm offset. Would these work and if I used 215/45R18's in the front and 225 or 235 45R18's in the back? Any problems I might run into or reasons why I should not do this? Maybe the front will rub?

Others I like are the MSR 044's but it is even more challenging as they are 18 x 8" with a 42mm offset. I am not that concerned about having "crazy wide" tires - just want it way better looking than stock rims and do not want to sacrifice handling or control. Is it that imperative to have wider rims at the back than the front? What if rims are the same size but tires are a bit bigger in the back? Or is it simply a "no-no" to put same rim width all the way around?

Does anyone have pics of this set up? Anyone have any other 5 spoke type setups that they know work and look good such as SSR gt01 or GT03 (too much money) or the Yokohama Advan Model 5, or Rota Battle - these are the styles I am looking for.

Thanks.

Ideally, if I could get a set of rims for around $200 - $350 each - that would be great.

Check out Enkei RPF1's. Cheap, light and good quality wheels with nice fitment and can get a good size tire on it. Go with 17"s

Don't like it. Has 6 spokes.....5 spoke is what I am after.

Anyone ever try the ADR Battle Exe's or the American Racing Lorenzo WL019?
