18" Volks CE28N's & Rolling Wheel Arches
OK guys
I have fitted a set of Volks CE28N's details as follows:
18" Volks CE28N's
Front-18x7.5 +50 offset
Rear-18x8.5 +47 offset
Yokohama AVS Sports
Front-225/40ZR18
Rear-255/35ZR18
They are on a UK 04 GT with stock suspension.
Problem is on some of our more remote roads the lip just in side the rear wheel arch is rubbing/cutting in to the side wall of the tyre. It only happen when the suspension goes in to hard compression (pot holes or dips in the road)
I was told it is possible to "roll the wheel arches" with out repainting the rear wing. I understand this means the lip is bent up from horiziontal to nearer vertical.
The question I guess is has anyone done it? Does it work? Is there a better way?
Just for good measure here is a pic of them on the car from the rear

Theres a few places that do it mate but have them be very careful with your car as the paint is soooper thin on the S, I would make 100% sure that they use a heat gun on the paint before any rolling is done to make the paint that little bit more flexable the people that did mine didn't and it ended up costing me

How about selling those wheels and buying a set of CE's that don't require rolling your fender..
Mikey I wouldn't get a dent guy to do it as it requires a certain tool if you want it done properly, you could always use a baseball bat like a few guys on here have done but I'd opt for the arch roller for what it costs
